Authentic Soul Food In The Heart Of Miami

iKrave was established in 2018, as the passion project of husband and wife, Eric and Sheena Vandyke. Backed by Sheena’s soulful family recipes and her father’s three decades of culinary experience, Eric and Sheena were able to bring to life one of the most authentic and vibrant southern food restaurants in the South Florida area. Together, they experiment and create delicious menu items that don’t always follow traditional recipe books.

Eric and Sheena were both born and raised in Liberty City, so it was only fitting that they open up a restaurant that would take them back to their roots and uplift the community that saw them grow up. They also have an iKrave food truck, which they refer to as the “same foundation on wheels”, that serves hundreds of workers at the Port Of Miami daily. For the Vandykes, empowering their community has always been a goal. Having a place where all their family and friends can come together while savoring the best homemade soul food is just the icing on the cake.

Our Commitment

One of our main goals at iKrave is to give back to the community and help feed people in the Miami-Dade area. Over the years, we have partnered with many organizations such as the Miami Dolphins, World Central Kitchen, and the Superintendent of Miami-Dade to participate in food reliefs that safely distribute fresh meals to communities that need the support.

When disaster struck the Surfside community due to a building collapse, our team filled up our food truck with food and headed to the beachfront condominium. We were there two days a week for three weeks helping feed the first responders who were at the tragic scene. iKrave was honored by the head chief of the City of Miami for our contribution to the community.

We also want to empower the youth in our community and help them start their careers – that’s why we are big on hiring young people to teach them the true value of hard work and a passion for the community.
